The following libraries are included:

1) Austrian Harpsichord

AH_Front

The Austrian Harpsichord library features an instrument built by Johann Anton Miklis in 1671 in Prague (which belonged to Austria back then). Offering three sounds - 8', 4' register and the combination of both - it shows the rich and slinky texture of Austrian-built instruments which Mozart would have known.

Like all harpsichords, it is not touch-sensitive. However, no note will sound exactly the same twice. We captured eight samples per note. Furthermore, we recorded four key release sounds per key. The harpsichord is presented in its original Valotti-tuning at 392 Hz, capturing all three register variations (8', 4' and both registers recorded together). Presets at 440 Hz are also available.

The sample library contains nearly 1.600 single recordings.

2) English Harpsichord

EH_Front

The English Harpsichord library presents an instrument built by Jacob Kirckman in 1766. It offers lots of unqiue sounds, sampled with 6 register combinations, including the upper 8', lower 8' (principal 8'), both 8' together, the 4' register, the lute stop and the so-called nasale stop - the latter being only available in Kirckman's harpsichords.

Like all harpsichords, the keys are not touch-sensitive. However, no note will sound exactly the same due to different resonances of body and strings. We captured the sound with eight samples per note. Furthermore, we recorded 4 key release sounds per key. The instrument was captured in its original Valotti-tuning at 368 Hz (presets at 440 Hz are included as well).

The sample library contains over 3.600 single recordings.

3) French Harpsichord

FH_Front

The French Harpsichord library contains an instrument built in 1171 by French builder Nicolas Pigalle. The huge tone plus delicate finesse and detail make it is an excellent representation of the French style.

The Pigalle harpsichord offers lots of unique sounds, sampled with 5 different register combinations.

Like all harpsichords, it is not touch-sensitive. However, no note will sound exactly the same twice. We captured eight samples per note. Furthermore, we recorded four key release sounds per key. The harpsichord is presented in its original Valotti-tuning at 383 Hz. Presets at 440 Hz are also available.

The sample library contains more than 3.400 single samples.
